The Diet Detox Method to Weight Loss

Our environment and diets have an astounding number of chemicals, some of which are toxic to the body even in minor amounts, and most of which are strenuous on the body’s natural cleansing processes in modest or high amounts. As well as doing several body detoxes a year, you can keep a clean and healthy body by adapting your regular everyday diet toward a cleansing diet. In addition to providing year round body detoxification, a cleansing diet will help you maintain better health, greater energy and mood, and a healthy weight. Many people have reported permanent weight loss with a diet detox.

The most simple way to convert to a cleansing diet is to consume more fresh fruits and vegetables and significantly reduce your intake of fatty foods, processed foods and sugary foods. Here are several guidelines for what to include in your cleansing diet:
2-5 pieces of fresh fruit every day. Go light on bananas and dried fruits. Dried fruits should be soaked for a few hours.

2 salads each day, ideally at lunch and dinner.

2 servings of chicken, fish or tofu for your protein. Lean meat occasionally.

Vegetable juice every day if possible. The best veggies are cucumber, celery, carrot, beets and parsley. If you don’t have time or equipment to juice vegetable juice at home, buy it fresh in a sizeable quantity, portion it into 2 oz portions and freeze for future consumption.

Sea vegetables (seaweed) regularly. Powdered dulse and kelp are easy to use. Powdered seaweeds can be used as a salt substitute.

And, it goes without saying, drink more water. Try to drink a gallon a day of fresh, filtered water. Some of this can be unsweetened herbal tea. No flavored, sweetened drinks. Sodas do not hydrate, they merely add more content to your body’s system.
