Naveen Jain: Making Room for Philanthropy

Intelius Chief Executive Officer Naveen Jain has been doing more than just consolidating his firm’s financial status. A tireless businessman known for spending 20-hour workdays as part of his work ethic, he stretches his workday more, making room for philanthropy in his busy life.

His philanthropy stems from a sense of gratitude and responsibility to the community which has played a significant role in his success. Remarking on the culture of giving, he believes that he has been “fortunate to have been provided with so much by the community and country.” In return, he has taken on the challenge of stepping up and giving back to the community, doing so through personal contributions and fostering a culture of giving in his company.

The troubled economy has even hardened his commitment to give. On 2008, at the onset of the economic crisis, instead of cutting back, Intelius has even increased their charitable commitments and gave a company record-breaker of $210,000 in corporate donations, not to mention the volunteer hours rendered as a part of the company’s Employee Matching Program and Volunteer Program. Nonprofit organizations and business groups have appreciated the firm’s philanthropic initiatives.

Just recently, Naveen Jain and Intelius received commendation for their commitment to the initiatives of Seattle nonprofit Overlake Service League, who paid tribute to them by making them Honorary Chairs during the organization’s 10th Annual Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon.

The Puget Sound Business Journal also recognized Naveen Jain’s company as among the Top 25 Corporate Philanthropists in the Puget Sound area.

Naveen Jain’s unwavering support to various local and national nonprofit organizations such as Hopelink, Overlake Service League, the United Way, Kindering Center, Children’s Hospital and National Network to End Domestic Violence all gives credence to the sort of leader he is – one who aims not only at financial success but to uplift and strengthen communities.
